I came home and married that cute guy in an intimate ceremony in an 1880s one-room schoolhouse on the Kansas prairie. After Dan and I got married, we moved to Los Angelas where I came on staff at a missions organization, first serving as the Central Europe Regional Director and then as VP of International Programs, overseeing teachers and field staff in over 12 countries mostly closed to the gospel. After five years of ocean and palm trees, the Dickinson’s moved to Kentucky, where I served as CEO of Clarity Solutions from 2014-2023. During my tenure at Clarity, a pregnancy help center and medical clinic that helps families in unexpected pregnancy situations, we have seen God double the staff, triple the budget, quadruple the number of clients and strengthen many internal processes and structures. Clarity also enjoys a partnership with a pregnancy center in Kitwe, Zambia and I have gotten to train and lead multiple short-term teams to minister there. Bumping along a dusty road in the heart of Africa, with a long skirt and hair waving, is one of the places I feel most alive and free. After the time in Zambia working at an orphanage, Dan and I felt called to adoption and began pursuing adoption in prayer, with two beautiful twin girls completing our family in the miracle of adoption. Then in 2018, I felt the Lord calling me to start The Haven at Clarity, a maternity and transitional home for pregnant women struggling with housing instability. The Haven opened in 2022. Most recently, I have felt God's calling to become the Women's Ministry Leader at Southeast Christian Church's Elizabethtown campus and I am so excited to minister to women both in and outside the church as a part of the Great Commission. It's been a God-filled whirlwind!

My amazing husband Dan and I call Elizabethtown, Kentucky home. Everything I do is because of the love and support of Dan (who is a closet geologist and has his own YouTube channel!). We have four precious daughters, Hannah, Grace, and the twins Joanna, and Lily. Going through the twins’ adoption, and walking with their birth parents before and after birth in an open adoption, has been such a holy and inspiring experience. Truly an abundant life! (John 10:10). We also have four (yes, four!) super spoiled doggies, and I can’t get enough doggie snuggles. When not with the family or at work, you can probably find me in my She Shed in the back yard with a cup of coffee and book in my hand.

Nice to meet you!

I first came to know the Lord when I was five years old. A pastor's kid, my earliest memories are of hanging out in a small, rural Kansas church every time the doors were open. I have a BS in English Secondary Education, a minor in music, and an MA in Literature all from Emporia State University- my dream job was always to teach English at a community college with my dad.

However, God had other dreams. During grad school, I felt God’s call to use my life as a missionary. It was about this time I met a cute guy who held his Bible like he knew how to read it (more on him later…). So after graduate school, I packed my bags and headed to Czech Republic to teach English. This year overseas set the trajectory of the rest of my life to live on mission for Him (and firmly established my love of travel and a really good cappuccino).
